Development and Show-running, Really Good Shares

iHeartMedia tasked us with helping A.J. Daulerio (TheSmallBow.com, Gawker, Deadspin) turn his sobriety and recovery newsletter into a podcast series. A.J. created The Small Bow after he got out of rehab and wanted to hear stories about sobriety, mental health, and spirituality that he couldn’t find in AA or therapy.

We crafted Really Good Shares to feel like the audio equivalent of the open, honest, funky, unvarnished space the newsletter has created. Writer and illustrator Edith Zimmerman made the logo, and—huge bonus—soul singing legend Swamp Dogg recorded original musical covers for every episode. (Check out Swamp’s new short doc here.)

We brought in documentarian Jacki Huntington and produced the first season for iHeart, and we’re working on the second season, which we’re producing independently with A.J. Follow along here, more news coming soon!

Really Good Shares was nominated for an Ambies Award for Best Health and Wellness Podcast, 2022, and Jay Shetty was very gracious in his acceptance speech.
